High temperatures require precautions to prevent fires

For yesterday and today, the IPMA - Portuguese Institute of Sea and Atmosphere forecasts hot and dry weather, with an increase in the risk of fire

The National Emergency and Civil Protection Authority (ANEPC) recalls that, according to the legal provisions in force, it is forbidden to burn without authorisation (you should get information at your local council).

The National Emergency and Civil Protection Authority recommends, in a statement, "the adequacy of behaviour and attitudes to the danger situation of rural fire, including the adoption of the necessary preventive and precautionary measures, in accordance with the legislation in force, and with special attention to the evolution of the fire danger in this period.
