There are different varieties of magnolia. In Matosinhos, the most represented variety is the magnolia x soulangeana, a small tree, with deciduous leaves, which blooms even before the leaves appear. It is a hybrid between two magnolias, refined over time for ornamental use due to its flowering that occurs in January / February, or even earlier if the winter is mild.
