City Councils' Internet Presence Index for 2021 unveiled
The Municipality of Matosinhos won second place in the Accessibility, Navigability and Ease of Access category of the Municipalities' Internet Presence Index (IPIC) 2021.
Created in 1999 by GÁVEA - Information Society Observatory, linked to the School of Engineering of the University of Minho, the IPIC periodically analyzes the online presence of national municipalities.
The evaluation is divided into four categories: type and update of content; accessibility, navigability and usability; online services; and participation.
The results for 2021 were presented by the University of Minho, the Agency for Administrative Modernization (AMA) and the United Nations University - Operational Unit in Electronic Governance (UNU-EGOV).
The ceremony took place on December 20th at the Rectory of the University of Minho. Representing the Municipality of Matosinhos was the vice-president, Carlos Mouta.
