Showcookings, historical recreations with the team from Quinta de Santiago Museum, mini-concert with the Jazz Orchestra of Matosinhos or hologram with Anémona animate until Sunday the Matosinhos corner at FIL
The Municipality of Matosinhos is once again present at the 33rd edition of the Lisbon Tourism Fair (BTL), which began today at the Lisbon International Fair (FIL) and runs until March 5th, with an 18m² space inserted in the promotional stand of the Regional Entity of Tourism of Porto and Northern Portugal (TPNP), in partnership with the Metropolitan Area of Porto, in order to promote Matosinhos as a unique tourist destination and differentiator, inviting to a stay full of experiences and unique experiences.
The President of the Republic, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, present at the opening of the event, made a point of visiting the Matosinhos stand and greeting the City Hall team. Also present was Luis Pedro Martins, president of TPNP.
The BTL is the most prestigious tourism event in the national panorama and with a wide international projection, with participations from all over the world. From associations to municipalities, travel agents, tour operators, hotels, restaurants and tourist entertainment, it is expected that this edition will have a high number of visitors.
One of the organization's premises is to foster new contacts and promote the best businesses.
The BTL is, simultaneously, a business and networking space for all tourism professionals and an open stage for debate and discussion in the sector, as well as a space for entertainment and tourism promotion for the public.
Throughout the five days of the event, Matosinhos will have a packed schedule, presenting representative activities of the municipality, such as showcooking with Chef Hélio Loureiro and by Conservas Portugal Norte, beer tastings by Super Book, historical recreations by the team of the Quinta de Santiago Museum, promotional action for industrial tourism and a mini-concert by the young promises of the Matosinhos Jazz Orchestra. Matosinhos also takes a bit of the city to FIL through the famous "She Changes". In the stand, there is a hologram with the icon of the city and, all over the enclosure, there will be hostesses wearing a costume allusive to the city. The little ones are not forgotten, in the general public period, Matosinhos integrates the "Kids Route" with face painting and puzzles.
From today, Wednesday, until next Friday morning, the fair is entirely dedicated to the promotion, dissemination and exchange of professional contacts. During the complementary period, from Friday afternoon until Sunday evening, the event opens its doors to the general public.
As has been the tradition, the wheel of fortune of the Matosinhos stand will be available daily to visitors to raffle gifts and vouchers from various spaces in the city. It will also be possible to get a souvenir through the personalized Matosinhos photobooth.
