The construction work on the Boavista-Império line of the Porto Metrobus enters a new phase, as of this Wednesday, April 19th, with the anticipation, in a few weeks, of the intervention in the segment of Avenida da Boavista, which goes from Foco to Bessa Leite

In the next 90 days, the section comprising the streets Azevedo Coutinho (access to Foco), Primeiro de Janeiro (Bessa stadium) and Bessa Leite (beginning of the hotel area) will be under construction, says Porto City Hall.
The first part of the contract concerns the "central corridor, occupied until now by two BUS lanes, for 30 days", and after this intervention "it will move to the south side, occupying the two lanes", for a period of 60 days.
The local authority clarifies that "throughout the works, the maintenance of two lanes is ensured, in each of the two directions of Avenida da Boavista, which is now occupied by the metrobus works, in the entire corridor situated between Marechal Gomes da Costa and Guerra Junqueiro".
