MIA wants elements of the PSP and GNR to have access to university cafeterias

The Minister of Internal Administration announced yesterday, January 19th, that an agreement will be signed with universities and polytechnics so that the elements of the PSP and GNR can use the facilities of these institutions, including cafeterias



In an interview to 'podcast' Politics with Word of PS, José Luís Carneiro states that the agreement will be signed between the social services of the PSP and GNR and the Council of Rectors of Portuguese Universities and the Council of Polytechnic Institutes.

"I had a very constructive conversation with the Chancellor of Porto University, who is simultaneously the President of the Council of Rectors of Portuguese Universities, and also with the President of the Polytechnic Institute of Cávado, who is simultaneously the President of the Council of Polytechnic Institutes, with whom we also want to sign an agreement, on behalf of the social services of the security forces," said the minister.

The minister explained that the agreement aims that the elements of the PSP and GNR will "enjoy the equipment of these institutions of higher education for personal fulfillment, access to equipment, particularly in terms of food, in the same conditions in which access" teachers and students, because they are structures that are "also spread throughout the country.

For the minister, this is one of the ways in which the government is working to "dignify, improve and motivate the security forces.
