Mayor of Matosinhos at the "QSP Summit"
“This is not just the biggest Marketing and Management conference in Europe. It's much more than that. We are living through a particularly difficult time, first with the pandemic, then with the war, with a great impact on our collective life. This conference is, therefore, a moment of trust and hope”, said the Mayor of Matosinhos.
Luísa Salgueiro was speaking this morning at Exponor, where another edition of the QSP Summit is taking place, dedicated to the theme “Building Sustainable Growth”.
Also present were the President of the Municipal Assembly, Palmira Macedo, councilors Manuela Álvares, António Correia Pinto, Marta Pontes, Vasco Pinho and José Pedro Rodrigues, the administrator of Matosinhos Sport, Henrique Calisto, among other personalities.
Luísa Salgueiro gave an account of the main attractions of the territory she manages, namely accessibility and location, highlighting, however, that “it is the people, companies and organizations that give us guarantees that we will be able to turn around this moment” .
The Secretary of State for Tourism, Commerce and Tourism, Rita Marques, stressed that the “QSP Summit is an opportunity for us to instigate action for a better, more sustainable, happier world for all”. “We also took the opportunity to promote Portugal as a destination to visit, but also to invest. Tourism is a showcase for Portugal as an investment destination”, she defended.
This was followed by a speech by Rory Sutherland, vice president of the British advertising, marketing and public relations agency Ogilvy, and one of the 50 speakers participating in this year's edition of the QSP Summit.
140 brands are represented in the exhibition area of the enclosure, including Matosinhos' "World's Best Fish", with its own stand.
