After several airlines have announced new routes to and from Porto, Ryanair and easyJet have also announced new connections for next year from Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport

As far as Ryanair is concerned, next summer there will be a new route between Porto and the Irish city of Shannon, with two weekly frequencies. "With Easter and the summer of 2023 fast approaching, we are very pleased to bring even more choice and value to our customers in Northern Portugal with the addition of this new Shannon route to our summer schedule," said Dara Brady in a statement, highlighting the wonders of central-western Ireland, such as castles full of history or scenic cruises on the cliffs.
Remember that this airline had recently announced the opening, as of April 2023, of a new connection between Porto and Bristol, in the United Kingdom, with three connections per week.
On the other hand, easyJet announced a new route from Porto to Glasgow, Scotland. The connection will start operating from March 31st next year. According to easyJet's country manager for Portugal, José Lopes, "this expansion seeks to give more choice to the airline's customers, satisfying their need to be able to book flights to the destinations they want, in several Portuguese airports.
In this case, to Glasgow, easyJet will offer two flights a week, on Mondays and Fridays.
