OPorto Airport receives new routes

In May, Francisco Sá Carneiro airport, in Porto, started a new connection to Munich, Germany, operated in an Airbus A320 of the airline Lufthansa.

The timetable available on the new route, departing at 6:15 am and arriving at 10:05 am local time, allows passengers to have “greater flexibility” and, consequently, to reach “almost all connecting flights in Munich, thanks to the morning arrival time”. A measure that, according to the General Director of Sales of the Lufthansa Group for Portugal, Thomas Ahlers, quoted by Porto., benefits both business and leisure travel.

“If we look at the growth of the Lufthansa Group from Porto as a whole, that is, in addition to Lufthansa, SWISS, Brussels Airlines and Eurowings, we are offering more than a third of flights than in 2019”, he maintained.

Arrival in Porto, from Munich, takes place at 11:25 pm, with departure from the capital of Bavaria scheduled for 9:30 pm.

With this new route, the German airline has a total of 253 weekly connections available from the airports of Porto, Lisbon, Faro, Funchal and Ponta Delgada.

It is recalled that this month the airport infrastructure in Porto also inaugurated the connection to the island of Porto Santo, in the Autonomous Region of Madeira, provided by easyJet.
