Portugal Digital Awards®: digital transformation oscars coming up

Applications are open for the 8th edition of the awards that recognise and reward the best digital transformation projects in Portugal

Applications for the Portugal Digital Awards®, which aim to distinguish organizations, public or private, that use information technology and communications in the transformation of their business, are already open. This initiative, organized by Axians and IDC Portugal, intend to, once again, reward the best that is done in Portugal within the digital transformation.

Organizations wishing to apply their work should do so by filling out the form available on the site.

The Portugal Digital Awards® have become over the years a unique space to highlight the professionals and organisations that are truly transforming the country. They have a wide panel of jurors and observers from the most varied sectors - public and private, academic, associative and business - who, based on an IDC methodological concept, evaluate, certify and give credibility to all the projects in competition.

"IDC believes that digital will continue to play a relevant role in the competitiveness of organisations in the coming years, and predicts that investments in digital transformation projects will grow 16% in 2023. In this context, we are excited about this year's edition of the Portugal Digital Awards® to get to know the disruptive and innovative projects that are being developed in the country", says Gabriel Coimbra, Group Vice President and Country Manager at IDC Portugal.

Carmo Palma, Managing Director at Axians Portugal, says that "we want to continue to recognize and reward the excellence of organizations, their teams and leaders who, through Digital, transform their products and services, providing their customers or citizens, a context and very positive experiences. He adds: "The analysis, by the jury, of the projects that apply is increasingly broader, being evaluated the impact that the project has on the organisation, as well as the social and environmental impact."

What to expect from the 2023 edition?

The 8th edition of the Portugal Digital Awards® is divided into 3 categories - Digital Transformation Awards, Digital Industry Awards and Digital Grand Awards -, which contemplate a total of 21 awards. To certify and give credibility to all the projects in competition, this edition counts with a panel of 17 judges, including António Gameiro Marques, General Director at the National Security Office; João Duque, Professor at ISEG; José Crespo de Carvalho, President and Member of the Executive Board at ISCTE; José Esteves, Dean at Porto Business School; Margarida Couto, President at GRACE, and Pedro Santa Clara, Director at 42 Lisbon and Porto.
