Portugal loses to Germany and Brazil in Goalball world cup in Matosinhos

The Portuguese men's and women's goalball teams were defeated this Sunday by Germany and Brazil, respectively, in the third round of the goalball World Cup, held in Matosinhos

The first team in action was the women's team, against Brazil, in the opening match of the day, with the 'canarinhas' beating the Portuguese athletes by 10-0.

Then the Portuguese men's team took the field to face Germany, current world vice-champions, being beaten 8-2.

The goalball World Cup takes place at the Matosinhos Sports and Congress Centre, in Porto, until 16 December.
