Contract between the Automóvel Club de Portugal and the promoter (WRC) was signed this Sunday, 14th May
The Rally of Portugal will remain in the specialty World Championship in 2024, with the contract between the Automóvel Club de Portugal and the promoter (WRC) being signed today, in a ceremony held in Matosinhos.
Carlos Barbosa, president of ACP, and Jona Siebel, general director of the WRC Promoter, formalised the contract at Exponor, in an agreement that also provides an option for the 2025 season, to be exercised next September, at the time of the World Council of the International Automobile Federation.
"The signing of this contract demonstrates the confidence that the WRC Promoter has in the organisation and is recognition of the effort we have made to organise one of the reference rallies of the World Championship calendar," underlined Carlos Barbosa, president of ACP.
