The Italian ice cream parlour Nivà, in Matosinhos, has challenged Chef Vasco Coelho Santos to create a new flavour for its anniversary
Chef Vasco Coelho Santos will create a new ice cream flavour: rabanada. The Italian ice cream shop Nivà, in Matosinhos, challenged Chef Vasco Coelho Santos, mentor of Euskalduna Studio, to create a new flavour for its anniversary.
The rabanada is already one of the ingredients used in the Euskalduna restaurant for dessert accompanying Serra da Estrela cheese ice cream. The new ice cream flavour will be available every Friday, Saturday and Sunday until September.
To celebrate the anniversary, Chef Vasco Coelho Santos will be in the Matosinhos shop this Friday to create, live, the ice cream with an exclusive flavour to the sound of lively DJ Jó.
"The celebration is in line with the brand's genesis, which is based on handcrafted recipes and respect for seasonality and the quality and controlled origin of ingredients," the statement sent to the newsroom reads.
"It is not just another ice cream, it is an experience that pleases all senses," highlights Alexandre Batata, responsible for the Matosinhos ice cream shop, quoted in the statement.
