The Blue Economy is to be discussed in Matosinhos

The topics under discussion will also include green logistics, the decarbonisation of maritime transport, science, biotechnology and maritime start-ups.

On 10 July, Matosinhos Town Hall will host an in-depth discussion on the sea and sustainability, with the conference ‘Matosinhos and the New Economy of the Sea’.

The ECO newspaper will bring together decision-makers, experts and businesses to discuss the strategic role of the Blue Economy in sustainable and regenerative development.

Topics for discussion will also include green logistics, the decarbonisation of maritime transport, science, biotechnology and maritime start-ups.

So far, the event will be attended by Luísa Salgueiro, mayor of Matosinhos, and Álvaro Sardinha, president of the Blue Economy – Centre of Excellence. Further speakers will be announced in the coming weeks.
