The 10th Urban Rehabilitation Week started yesterday. It takes place from 22 to 24 November, at the Palácio da Bolsa, in Porto
The initiative counts for the first time with the participation of the municipalities of Maia, Matosinhos, Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia for a metropolitan reflection and gathers the support of the main associations of the construction and real estate sector, professional associations and academia.
The municipality of Matosinhos will be at the 10th edition of the Urban Rehabilitation Week, which takes place from 22 to 24 November, at Palácio da Bolsa, in Porto.
The Urban Rehabilitation Week of Porto will address the methodological essay on the Urban Pressure Zone (ZPU) of Matosinhos, in the panel scheduled for the 24th, at 12:00 pm. which will be co-organized by the Matosinhos City Hall.
"Matosinhos is the municipality in the Metropolitan Area of Porto where the cost of renting or purchasing housing increases the most, not because there is no housing stock, but because of the existence of vacant properties and unbuilt plots of land. The ZPU is an instrument for returning the social function of this heritage".
Maintaining its multidisciplinary character, the Urban Rehabilitation Week presents a wide-ranging programme that includes conferences, workshops and seminars. In all, there are 12 plenary sessions, taking place at Pátio das Nações, Palácio da Bolsa, and to which three legal seminars and other parallel sessions are added, involving more than 100 speakers over three days.
The events of the Urban Rehabilitation Week maintain its philosophy of free and open access (subject to registration).
