Tourist transport and TVDE on the Luiz I Bridge may become a reality

The Municipal Councils of Vila Nova de Gaia and Porto will study the possibility of tourist transports and TVDE crossing the Luiz I Bridge, informs Lusa

It should be remembered that, for now, on the bridge that links the two cities, only pedestrians, bicycles, taxis and public transports are allowed to cross.

"We are going to study the possibility of TVDE, "tuk-tuk" and tourist buses being allowed to cross the bridge deck", revealed Gaia's deputy mayor, Patrocínio Azevedo, during the municipal executive meeting, after being questioned on the subject by PSD councillor, Cancela Moura.

Cited by the news agency, the local authority said that this is an "experimental measure for three months, and then we'll see". Patrocínio Azevedo considered that, now, people see this measure as a problem, but in a short time they will realise that it is the best solution for the cities and a source of pride.
