UFSMISH has created a protocol for providing primary oral health care

Cooperation protocol with Fernando Pessoa Foundation (FFP) for the provision of primary oral health care in the Pedagogical Dental Clinics of the Faculty of Health Sciences of Fernando Pessoa University

The Parish Council of São Mamede de Infesta and Senhora da Hora signed a cooperation protocol with the Fernando Pessoa Foundation (FFP) for the provision of primary oral health care in the Pedagogical Dental Clinics of the Faculty of Health Sciences of the Fernando Pessoa University.

Its objective is the attendance, diagnosis, promotion and dental medical treatment, through primary care, without costs for the economically deprived population.

The users referred by the Parish Council of São Mamede de Infesta and Senhora da Hora will go to the facilities of the Pedagogical Dental Clinics (CPMD) for these treatments, accompanied by the credential/referral issued by the parish council.

This care includes hygiene and prophylaxis treatments, conservative dentistry and minor oral surgery.

Any more differentiated clinical act or procedure beyond primary oral health care, or rehabilitations with a laboratory component (prostheses, orthodontic appliances, etc.) will only be carried out if the respective fees have been assumed by the users, who may benefit from the prices of the tables applied in the CPMD services.

To have access to the credential, the household will have to pass a socio-economic evaluation carried out by the UF social worker. Eligibility for the program depends on the economic neediness of the household and is evaluated through supporting documents of income and expenses.
