Volunteer firefighters who are part of the Special Device for Fighting Rural Fires (DECIR) will receive €64 per day this year, three euros more than in 2022, according to the financial directive that comes into force on Saturday 15 April
Approved this week by the Secretary of State for Civil Protection, Patricia Gaspar, the directive establishes the state contribution to the expenses resulting from the interventions of the fire brigades in different operational devices of civil protection, including DECIR.
In addition to the increase in the daily amount that each volunteer firefighter will receive, from 61 to 64 euros, the daily contribution to the elements of command also rises from 71 to 74.7 euros, according to the financial directive, to which Lusa had access.
The document also includes a 5.1 per cent increase in the value of daily payments made to staff that make up the intervention teams and other reinforcement groups.
This year will also be updated by about 7.8 percent the amounts of expenses with food, with the value of lunch and dinner going from 10 to 10.80 euros and light meals from 2.75 to three euros.
The tables referring to the amounts payable for breakdown or damage to equipment and operational vehicles are also updated.
According to the document, this year there will be an average increase of 10% in the reference values for vehicles and 5% for equipment.
