Free entrance to the assistance park at Exponor
Everything is ready for another edition of the WRC Vodafone Rally de Portugal. From 11 to 14 May, 19 stages will be covered over a total of 1,636.25km (329.06 timed).
The 56th edition of the race has as novelties a super-special of 2.28 km in the centre of Figueira da Foz, to close the first competitive day of the race, on Friday (May 12) and the new 15 km qualifying in Paredes, on the decisive day of Sunday (May 14), in a municipality that continues to receive the traditional opening Shakedown of the rally, on Thursday (May 11), in the surroundings and inside the Baltar track.
As in previous years, Exponor will once again be the operations centre and the assistance park for the participating teams. Fans will have the opportunity to see the drivers, teams and cars up close at the following times: Thursday, between 10am and 9pm, Friday and Saturday, from 10am to midnight, and Sunday, between 9am and 2pm. Admission is free.
The Mayor of Matosinhos visited the venue today. LuÃsa Salgueiro was accompanied by the president of the ACP- Automóvel Clube de Portugal, Carlos Barbosa, by the Councillor for Tourism, Marta Pontes, by the Councillor for Sports, Vasco Pinho, as well as by other mayors or representatives of the other municipalities where the event takes place.
The municipality of Matosinhos is once again present in the event, making our territory known until Sunday through a stand, betting on the strengthening and consolidation of the brand "Matosinhos World's Best Fish", and the application of Matosinhos to become the European City of Sport in 2025.
The podium and awards ceremony will be, as usual, on Sunday afternoon, at the Matosinhos waterfront.
