E 1st AC Porto Schools Meeting
Sunday, February 26, the day dawned with sun and started with bicycles. The Picoutos Park was filled with pedaling and kicked off the 2023 XCO season.
In the afternoon it was the turn of the youngest cyclists to pedal in this race.
In an environment of maximum category, from Cadets to Masters 30, where the participants had effort, running, descents and jumps, the nature of the race was an experience of constant evolution.
Present at the awards ceremony were the mayor, Luísa Salgueiro, the councilman for Sports, Vasco Pinho, the CEO of Matosinhos Sport, Henrique Calisto, the president of the Parish Union of Cústoias, Leça do Balio and Guifões, Pedro Gonçalves, the representatives of the Union of Parishes of São Mamede Infesta and Senhora da Hora, Vítor Fitas Preto and Álvaro Guimarães, in the company of the president of Matosinhos MTB, Sérgio Silva and the rest of the management of the club from Matosinhos.
The event was organized by Clube BTT Matosinhos and Associação de Ciclismo do Porto, with the support of the Matosinhos City Hall, Matosinhos Sport and the local Uniões de Freguesia.
