Hundreds of families got together this Sunday morning, March 19th, to celebrate Father's Day with a race by the sea, in Matosinhos

The streets and avenues of the county were filled with amateur and professional athletes, with music mixed in at some points.
Besides the familiar conviviality, between a five-kilometer walk or a ten-kilometer run, the race also included elite athletes. Nuno Lopes, from CD Feirense, won the first place in the race with 30 minutes and 12 seconds. In second place was the Russian athlete Anton Tishakin, with only one second more. In third place was Miguel Borges from Sporting CP, who crossed the finish line in 30 minutes and 14 seconds.
The godmother of the race was Olympic medalist Fernanda Ribeiro, who fired the starting pistol, at 9 o'clock, with the town councilman of Matosinhos, Vasco Pinho.
In the female sector, the Finnish athlete, Emilia Siltanen of the FK Studenterna/JKU team, won first place: she finished the race in 35 minutes and 47 seconds. Jessica Pontes (Team El Comandante) ran ten kilometers in 36 minutes and 28 seconds, up one position from her result in the same race in 2022.
The third position this year went to Marta Martins, with a time of 37 minutes and 50 seconds.
