Matosinhos was awarded "Municipal Program of Sports for All 2023"!

The Municipality of Matosinhos has always guided its sports policy by a general line of democratization of the practice of formal and informal physical activity, providing more and more specific support to the various institutions, creating a network of accessible and quality sports facilities, in order to reach the largest number of citizens and, consequently, increase the well-being of its community.

And the attitude of the Municipality, in the case of Sport for All - that of informal, recreational or competitive (not federated), as a factor for training and comprehensive development of citizens and the promotion of inclusion - has been exemplary, and the added value of the various municipal programs is now recognized, such as the Get Moving, Learn, Active Matosinhos and the Offices of Prescription of Physical Exercise to the Citizen, among several others.

As part of the network of Municipalities Friends of Sport, Matosinhos won the award "Municipal Program of Sport for All 2023", ranked first, followed by the municipalities of Maia and Loures, in the class of Municipalities with a population over 100,000 inhabitants.
