Five-year-old girl cannot eat or walk without help and needs various treatments
About 50 people participated this Saturday in a solidarity soccer tournament organized by the Residents Association of the Fishermen's Quarter of Matosinhos to help Maria Vitória, a five-year-old girl with cerebral palsy and 85% disability. Among the players were fishermen from Caxinas and Matosinhos.
The girl cannot eat or walk without help and needs several treatments. The initiative, which took place at the Bairro dos Pescadores playing field, managed to raise about 800 euros, including substantial support from the Union of Matosinhos and Leça da Palmeira parishes.
Each player paid an inscription fee of 2.50 euros, to be reverted to Maria Vitória.
The games were guided by referee Ricardo Vigário.
