The Court of Matosinhos sentenced this Thursday, to 15 years in prison, a man, 40, who last year raped two young women, in Maia
The defendant, Pedro Miguel, will also have to pay 20 thousand euros to one of the victims and 30 thousand to the other.
The cases happened in May 2022. The defendant used a knife to threaten the victims in the Castelo da Maia subway station and then take them to isolated places where he raped them.
Days later he was caught by the Judiciary Police precisely in the subway. He admitted to the crimes and said he needed help. However, in court, the judges considered that during the sessions he never showed any repentance.
